Weather, Climate & Energy Calculators
Predict crop stages from heat units and size a solar pump for off-grid irrigation.
Use the sun – for timing and for power
Crops develop according to the heat they receive, not the calendar. Growing degree days turn daily temperatures into a heat count that predicts flowering and maturity much better than "days after sowing". The same sun can run your irrigation pump: a correctly sized solar pump delivers the water you need without diesel or power cuts.

Frequently asked questions
What is a growing degree day?
One growing degree day is one day with an average temperature 1 °C above the crop's base temperature. Adding them up tells you how much usable heat the crop has received.
